IAC Rat Pack Hosts First Buhurt International Official Event in Idaho - And Takes First!

On April 20th, IAC hosted the Idaho Armored Combat Invitational 2024, where they competed with neighboring teams joining us from Idaho Falls, Montana, and Utah. The event was marshaled (refereed) by Joseph Cadieux. The event was hosted at Nampa’s Lakeview Park and was the first ever Buhurt International official event in Idaho.

Melees

In a round robin tournament style, the 5v5 melees, Idaho Armored Combat Rat Pack managed to sweep the competition, winning first place. They were followed by Montana Sun Eaters of Missoula, MT, who took second.

A new Salt Lake City, UT team, Order of the Silver Roses, got third followed by the Idaho Falls Peace Breakers in fourth.

Duels

In Longsword duels, which had fifteen competitors, Jackson Cook of IAC Rat Pack took first place. Jack Pfeiffer of the Salt Lake City Crusaders* took second.

Kyle Olson (Montana Sun Eaters) won the Light Heavyweight Profights over Jon Gaffney, who took second.

Will O’Keeffe (IAC) won the Heavyweight Profights over Austin Smith, who took second.

John Otu (Order of the Silver Roses) won sword and shield duels out of five competitors.

Gavin Tweedie (IAC) won Sword and Buckler duels where John Otu (Order of the Silver Roses) took second out of 12 competitors.

The event was a huge success and we look forward to hosting future events in the Treasure Valley to compete against our friends in nearby teams.
