IAC Rat Pack Sweeps Their Pool at Carolina Carnage 2024

Carolina Carnage is an annual international tournament hosted by the Palmetto Knights in Pendleton, South Carolina in early February.

Top Row: Fighters Mercer Hiser, William O’Keeffe, Noah Seward, Gavin Tweedie, Ian Pedersen, Dallin Larson, Alex Heder, and Ethan Watt.

Bottom Row: Support Ky Want, Bryce Armstrong, Ryanne O’Keeffe, William Casey, Rick Percinsky, Kym Couch, Kate Heder, and Emily Bourdon.

Idaho Armored Combat Rat Pack brought eight fighters and eight support members to South Carolina for Carolina Carnage 2024, where they swept their melee 5v5 pool of five other teams, going 5-0 in the first day of melees.

Unfortunately, the team was knocked out in the quarterfinals by the Iron Lions of Virginia, placing us 7th out of the 24 teams in our division.

Fighters wait in full kit for their next battle.

Not ready to step out of the list yet, fighters Noah Seward and Mercer Hiser joined the Knights of Dominus in the 12v12 melees, where they took first place.

In duels, team captain, Ethan Watt, had an incredible showing, placing third in polearm.

Carolina Carnage was IAC Rat Pack’s first competitive buhurt event attended as a team and our fighters and support members have been training and preparing diligently for the past year. In 2023, members of the team attended the event as support for the Knights of Dominus, who took first place in their division both this year and last year, fueling our fire to get prepared for a showing of our own.

Fighters meditate while other members prepare in the background.

Our members are proud of how we showed up and fought, alerting the buhurt community to the existence of the team in Idaho who is here and ready to rumble. We look forward to attending again next year.

Videos of all of the team’s fights, as well as other fights, can be found on our TikTok @IdahoArmoredCombat.
