Idaho Armored Combat Comes to the Caldwell Luxe Reel Theatre for Dungeons & Dragons Event

On Saturday, April 1st, IAC was invited by the Caldwell Luxe Reel Theatre to set up and fight at their location to promote the newly released movie, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.

At this event, we set up a list (the wooden frame we fight in) and had over fifteen (15) team members present with five (5) sets of armor in use for the fights. Inside the theater we set up a booth to explain the sport to those passing by, accept donations to the team, and sell merchandise.

One of the biggest barriers of Armored Combat in Idaho is lack of awareness and understanding of the sport, so we love putting on events where we can introduce it to new audiences, show off our fighters’ skills, and answer frequently asked questions like “is this LARPing?”

Following the event, we were able to watch Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and it was a fantastic movie. We highly recommend checking it out at the Caldwell Luxe Reel Theatre with their comfy reclining chairs!

IAC is now looking forward toward the regional event in Idaho Falls this upcoming Saturday, April 8th!
